Free online training at the Geraldton Digital Hub

As part of their Digital Hub the City of Greater Geraldton will be holding free interactive training sessions to learn about the internet. The sessions will take participants through a step-by-step to discover the online world. The sessions available are group sessions and maximum numbers are between 6-8 on each session. National Heritage Festival: Moora Country Tours

This Saturday, 10th May, Noongar elders in conjunction with the City of Stirling will be presenting Mooro Country Tours  as part of the  2014 National Heritage Festival.  The bus tour offers an opportunity to learn about traditional medicine, bush tucker and cultural practices used by Noongar people.

This is the second and last time the tour will run over the course of the festival. Tickets are free but bookings are essential. The tour will start at 9.30 and, light refreshments are provided. For more information or to book click here.

Royal Perth Hospital presents – Life Lines: Art of Ancestors exhibition

The 2014 National Heritage Festival kicked off earlier this month with a great list of events around Western Australia. As part of the festival Royal Perth Hospital is presenting a free exhibition of Indigenous artworks drawn from their collections.

CAMPFIRE YARNS WITH CLARRIE CAMERON

YMAC member and Nhanhagardi man Clarrie Cameron who launched his book Elephants in the Bush and other Yamatji Yarns last September will be appearing at the Perth Writers Festival this weekend.

Clarrie will share his stories at a free event on Saturday, February 22 at 4pm at the Tropical Grove in the grounds of the University of Western Australia.

Free screenings of Utopia by John Pilger

Murdoch University will be holding a free screening Utopia, a  new documentary by award winning journalist John Pilger. The film explores  the oldest continuous human culture and the untold story of Aboriginal people in Australian history.
