Elected to the Yamatji Regional Committee in 2025, Jennifer Green is a Badimia and Wajarri woman living in Geraldton. She is a Yamatji artist with a strong passion for painting and weaving and is actively involved in her community through cultural, arts, and governance roles.

Jennifer is a member of the Radio MAMA Board, the Yamaji Arts Board, the Irra Wangga Badimia Language Group, and the Bardimia Barndi Barna Corporation. She is also a Badimia native title claimant for a new claim and is actively involved with the Women’s Group at Mitchell Street Community Centre.

She holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Aboriginal Studies from Tranby Aboriginal College in Sydney and has completed two TAFE courses. Jennifer has nominated for the YMAC Yamatji Regional Committee to use her knowledge and experience to support positive native title outcomes for Aboriginal people.

To Jennifer, Country is a deeply spiritual place that provides healing, belonging, and a strong connection to her ancestors.

While Jennifer has not sought awards or public recognition, she has made a meaningful impact by working quietly behind the scenes in her community and prefers to continue contributing in this way.
