Opportunities available for First Nations Young People

Two free opportunities are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people with the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) and IndigenousX.
Our Truth Our Way IndigenousX internship (18-35 year olds)
The Our Truth, Our Way Project is a platform for the voices and truth telling of First Nations young people to transform the future. The internship will span 12 months and provide a paid opportunity for eight (8) young First Nations creatives to take the lead in innovative, creative, and collaborative storytelling, to develop their work and critical thinking skills, build networks and collaborate with First Nations industry professionals.

Collective Imagining (16-25 year olds)
FYA will be backing 50 young dreamers to launch a new multi-issue youth movement through the Collective Imaging project. Over the next 24 months, the group of 50 young people will be trained to engage 1,000 young people in creative processes of collectively imagining a different future. FYA will then provide grants and coaching to the young people to run campaigns that bring the vision to life.
The program has a focus on First Nations creatives’, knowledge, and values with trainers from a wide range of mediums.
